Inspector K

Inspector K Is Back. Are You Ready For The Second Season?

Something interesting just happened. Well, it depends on what you define as interesting. I was going through old posts and I realized I hadn’t finished this post I started nearly a month about the second season of Inspector K returning – I probably got distracted and then moved on to something else. So I went to look for the trailer for the second season of Inspector K only to find the first episode of the second season aired yesterday. You can catch the episode here.

To get a glimpse of what to expect, here’s the trailer for the second season:

Okay, let me be honest – After the first season ended, I was pretty sure I wasn’t going to see the second season. I didn’t enjoy it as much as I wanted to and because everyone else around me seemed to love it, I kept that fact to myself. Theoretically, it had everything I loved – but in practice, it just didn’t work for me.

I hated the fact that I didn’t like because it was a well-produced show with Nigerians taking brave steps on the narrative front, doing something out of the ordinary. I saw that and I respected that…but I was done with the show – that is until I saw the trailer for the second season.

Holy shit. This looks like it will be really good, right? Definitely, better than the first.

Argh, I’m so excited that Inspector K’s neighbour is back, I lowkey loved him. So… new characters, bad guys that dance shoki, someone named ‘yam’…I don’t know what is happening but I love it already. I’m actually pretty caught off by how excited I am about this.

I genuinely think you should check it out as well. It seems more money went into this season based on the success of the first season. I personally feel that the online environs is where it’s at for the progress of Nigerian entertainment. Brah, Skinny Girl In Transit was a movement. They are clearly taking more risks and reaping the rewards.

Okay, I’m definitely here for this one.
