One of Nigeria’s most prolific directors has been killing it this year, in a previous post…we mentioned how this really was the year of Kunle Afolayan.
He had two movies out this year – Roti and Omugwo; a short movie – Hanatu; and The Tribunal will be coming out on the 1st of September. While this might be too much work for a mere mortal, Kunle Afolayan has made no indications of slowing down….thankfully.
Unexpectedly, the filmmaker announced on his Instagram that he is working a television series which will be released next year, this will be his first television series.
An official title or plot has not been released yet but we do know that he will be working with screenwriters Ropo Enwela, Tunji Azeez and frequent collaborator – Tunde Babalola, who he worked with on October 1 and The CEO.
With such talents working on the scripts and Kunle Afolayan spearheading the project – you are allowed to get excited now. You can be sure this currently untitled show will definitely be worth the wait.
