Have You Seen The New Avengers: Infinity War Trailer Yet?

I can tell you exactly where I was on the day the first full-length Avengers: Infinity War trailer was released- I was seated in my office, barely able to concentrate, reloading the Marvel Youtube page practically every five minutes – which is why I was lucky enough to see it within the first few minutes of its release. Not that it makes a difference, because by now, over 43 million people have seen it already…and we’re all EQUALLY excited, I’m guessing.

I’m pretty sure the number is going to climb in the next few days, considering the teaser trailer released last year has already amassed over 150 million views. Just for comparison sake alone, The DC Justice league trailer got around 34 million views. Surprising, right? You can check it out yourself here.

Anyway, this is not a competition. And even if it is, this is not the post to address it.

If you haven’t seen the trailer yet, prepare yourself… it is literally the stuff all Marvel fanboys and fangirls have waited for… for over a decade. You can watch it here and now:

Are you ready for this? I don’t know, I thought I was ready but after seeing this trailer, I doubt I’m truly ready. A lot is going to go down in this movie, some of our faves will die – can we ever be ready for that?

I like that the trailer started with Gamora though, you know, the only one in the entire cinematic universe who really knows Thanos (with the exception of Nebula). That finger snap though.

Tony: Tell me his name again…

Gamora: Thanos

Me: ?????

I can’t even deal – I just really can’t wait to see all the characters interact with each other, especially the unlikely suspects – everyone is talking about Shuri meeting Iron man but what happens when she meets Bruce Banner. Also Gamora and Black Widow, anyone?  We only got a glimpse of the world colliding interactions with Tony Stark and Peter Quill. I want more. Bring on the million and one TV Spots that Marvel will no doubt release as we get closer to the release date. I’m definitely going to have to travel to see this one as well.

There’s so much to unpack here, the Avengers are going to WAKANDA. I want to see their reactions entering a literal paradise. Isn’t that exciting?

Go back and rewatch the 1:28-1:30 minute mark – that is how you make MF’n trailer, people.

And then there’s Thanos’ face when Cap stops his punch….he wasn’t ready!!!

Okay, let me be real with you right now – I’m very nervous. I don’t know what we’re going to get with this movie. We know nothing about what to expect.

Yes, we have the plot and have been told to expect the deaths of beloved characters but that just feels like…I can’t explain. If we’re going to be really honest, they’ve given us nothing. It feels like….even though we have all this knowledge available to us about what to expect, we’re still going to enter that cinema completely unprepared and leave that cinema completely shook.

Remember with Spiderman: Homecoming, there were so many TV spots and so much information available online but people went in and saw the movie and it was so much more than they expected. The same thing happened with Thor: Ragnarok and Black Panther. I don’t think we can possibly be ready for what’s about to go down, just saying.

I will advise, however, that you go in with a box of tissues when you go to see this movie. I will be sneaking in alcohol too – to help me deal with the pain. Please, protect Vision…Drax (for some reason, I’m really worried about him).

Are you ready?
